Newcastle Fashion Week
Newcastle fashion week has been taking place every year since 2009, with events throughout Newcastle in aid of Cancer Council NSW and Daffodil Day. They aim to inspire local budding fashion designers to have full faith in their skill, creativity and individuality. Fashion week kicks off with a glamorous launch party, showcases fashion designs and a glass of bubbly. The week continues with a range of runways events showcasing up and coming fashion talent. Newcastle’s Vintage Fashion & Textiles Fair
The Newcastle Vintage and textiles fair takes place twice a year in Newcastle’s historic Royal Station Hotel. The fair brings you vintage dresses, fabrics, hats, jewellery, shoes, bags…. Well everything vintage your heart desires! With just £2.50 entry makes it’s your perfect budget outing.
Fashion Shops & Boutiques
Best Vintage is a vintage clothing boutique tucked away in Newcastle Upon Tyne’s High Bridge Street. With 2 floors of male and female clothing and accessories from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s this little hidden gem is the perfect place to get hand selected vintage clothing which won’t break the bank!
Need we say more? Anyone who knows anything about fashion will of heard of Vivienne Westwood. We are lucky enough to have one of her shops in Hood Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Where as most designer brands will cost you an arm and leg, Vivienne is well known for making designs for all ranges and costs.
Most people have set foot in a Topshop before with the chain being a prominent figure on most of Britain’s high streets. Topshop offer high street fashion with as bit of a youthful twist and are usually the trendsetters of the high street fashion community. Topshop can be found in Eldon Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Attica are another small shop that specialise in vintage evening wear, accessories & furniture. Established in 1983, Attica have been happily trading in vintage wear within Newcastle ever since. Based in George Street near Newcastle College Attica is another great place to achieve that vintage look.
